Exchange & Refund Policy


At Uttardayi, we endeavour to ensure that every transaction done at our website is smooth. We take great care in delivering our products and adhere to high quality standards. Most of the products that we offer are handmade. Handmade products may differ from one another or from the photographs shown on the website. Our focus is to offer natural products, products made from natural materials, up cycled and recycled products. 

As a policy, we offer returns or exchanges only on products that are wrongfully delivered (products that do not match your order) or have a genuine manufacturing or quality defect. In such cases, we will re-fulfill your order or extend a complete refund depending on case to case basis.


To return or exchange a product or to report a damage in transit, please get in touch with our Customer Care within 48 hours of delivery:

  • By email at with the following details- your order number, date of transaction, delivery address and image of the wrongfully delivered or defective item.

Our customer care team will look into the issue and revert back within 48 working hours.


Each return or exchange request is handled on a case-by-case basis and we request you to get in touch with us within 48 hours for quick resolution.

Given the nature of our products we deal in, we reserve the sole discretion to provide apt resolution to any conflict. We however, endeavour to provide smooth resolutions to order fulfillment. 

No refunds would be given if the customer has provided wrong or incomplete shipping address, there are 3 failed delivery attempts by our shipping agency and/or the package is refused by the recipient.

Refunds if any depending on the case will be processed only after we receive the material back or as we decide.

You can follow the below ways for initiating your return or exchange request:

  • Requests for exchange or return of merchandise has to be made within 7 days of order receipt.
  • Please send an email to with the order & exchange details and we will assist you with the same.

  • You can exchange your product for a different size in the same style/color. You can also exchange it with another style or product on 
  • Exchanges will be offered based on the availability of the product. In case the replacement product is unavailable, your money will be refunded.
  • Upon receiving the request, we shall initiate the process for the desired product to reach you. Our delivery partner will collect the product to be exchanged or returned from you.
  • The item(s) returned should have the original tags and labels intact, and should be returned in an unused and undamaged condition.
  • In case of returns, once the product is received by us and duly inspected, the refund will be initiated to the original card/bank from which the payment was made.
  • Refund against returns for prepaid orders will be made to the same account as used for the transaction. The funds can be expected to reflect in your bank in 8-12 working days.
